Friday Update, part 2

I hope that you all don't think I'm being a drama queen, but it helps me to write this down. And Daddy says everyone wants to know, no one wants to ask.

I just called NICU for an update, and they are giving Maddy some blood right now. They said that it's very common with such an extensive surgery that the body is working so hard to heal that it uses a lot of red blood cells. The hard part in seeing her will be that they are having to put it through an IV in her scalp. Lovely.

PLEASE pray for a very boring day tomorrow. I'm trying to decide whether to go down tonight.

For years I was baffled by the line of a song, "This child can face uncertain days." I kept thinking...of course there will be uncertain days. My mind focused on the days that were bound to be uncertain, then it was pointed out to me that the child can face them. And so can you and your family because He lives and cares for you and is giving you assurance.
Your little girl looks very sweet.

Oddly enough, very early on in my AWC days Glen and I sang that at the Warren church as a special...don't know how special it was, but the message of the song is the important thing.

I can't imagine the emotional struggles your going through as a mother, you're thought of and prayed for.

I had to check and see how my cousin's daughter and grand daughter are doing. You do a great job of explaining the medical info and the pictures are fantastic. I know this is a difficult time for you and Glen but Maddy seems to be doing well. Life right now is an emotional roller coaster but God will help you with the ups and downs.
